General terms:
- An Airline ticket means a document or electronic record, issued by BAR Aviation Uganda Ltd, that confirms that an individual is entitled to a seat on a flight or an aircraft. A proforma invoice, invoice, itinerary or receipt does not constitute an airline ticket.
A ticket must have the title ‘Ticket’ and/or ‘E-ticket’. - In the interest of safety of our passengers and comfort, BAR Aviation requires to be informed in advance of the persons with disabilities, physical challenges, illnesses or old age.If such a person is unable to lift themselves, reach an emergency exit unaided, unfasten a seat belt or communicate with the crew, then such persons must be accompanied by two persons who will assist them during embarking and disembarking the aircraft and in cases of an emergency.
- The company reserves the right to re –allocate seats if the passenger has not checked in 30 minutes before scheduled flight.
- On all services the luggage allowance is 15kgs per person, inclusive of hand luggage in soft bags. The carriage of excess baggage is at the sole discretion of the company after taking into consideration the aircraft being used and the number of passengers booked. When excess baggage or freight is carried, it will be charged at the prevailing freight charges.To accommodate additional luggage, please book and pay for an additional freight seat in advance. The extra seat is charged at the child fare and will allow for an additional 75kgs excess luggage.
- Freight is carried strictly on a space availability basis. The company does not accept any liability for any direct or consequential costs arising from any delays in carriage due to any reasons whatsoever. In the event of Checked in baggage or freight being lost or damaged during carriage then the Company’s liability is limited to a maximum of US$ 10 per kilo. No liability is accepted for cash, jewelry or other valuables. All claims for such events must be made in writing within 7 days of their occurrence.
- Smoking is not permitted in any aircraft.
- Freight and excess baggage: Charged at US$ 3 per kilo for all flights except the Arua flights at US$ 10 per kilo.
- Fares:
USD fares may be converted to the Uganda Shilling equivalent using the IATA rate of exchange prevailing at the time of purchase of tickets. Rates are subject to change without notice. Fares quoted are exclusive of taxes. - Payment for tickets is required at least 14 days before date of travel.
BAR Aviation Uganda reserves the right to change fares without prior notice in the event of major market changes. - Infants & children: Infants under 2 years of age are carried free provided they do not occupy a seat.
Children under 12 years of age are carried at 70% of the adult fare. - BAR Aviation does not permit the carriage of pets on any ‘Safari’ routes or services that are operated by the Cessna Caravan aircraft‚ regardless of whether the animal is in an airline approved container.
- Helicopter and Private Charters:
If the schedule services do not meet your route and timing requirements, then a private charter may be the solution. Kindly get in touch with us through the email: reservations@baraviationug.com
Check-in:
- Passengers on ALL flights are required to produce a valid form of identification containing a photograph at check-in.
- Passengers who purchased their tickets though credit/debit cards will need to produce a passport copy of the credit card holder if the credit card holder is not among the travelers.
- Check-in from Entebbe International Airport and Kajjansi Airfield will open 60 minutes before departure time. Counters close 30 minutes before departure.
- Check in time from all bush airstrips is 30 minutes to departure time.
- All passengers are required to abide by Covid regulations as set by the relevant authorities. BAR Aviation will bear no liability if a passenger is unable to use our services due to a breach of the Covid regulations.
- Should there be a significant delay, BAR Aviation will provide refreshments/ meals as is appropriate.
Amendment policy:
All the tickets are non-transferable but may be amended as per below;
- Above 10 days before date of travel: Nil charge if ticket is not issued.
- Above 10 days before date of travel: $20 fee if ticket has been issued.
- Within 9 to 5 days to date of travel: $50 fee per change on firm basis OR $20 fee per change on standby basis.
- Within 4 days to date of travel: $100 fee per change on firm basis OR $20 fee per change on standby basis.
Cancellation, no show policy:
- Reservations cancelled 10 days before date of travel will be refunded less a handling fee of US$ 20 per ticket if tickets have been issued.
Cancellations in the period 9 to 5 days before date of travel will be charged a handling fee of US$ 50 per ticket. - Cancellations within 4 days before date of travel or any NO-SHOWS will be charged in full unless a passenger is unable to travel for health reasons. Refunds in this case will be considered on an individual basis however a handling fee of US$ 30 per ticket is payable.
- In all cases, refunds will be paid within 45 days from the date of cancellation.
Charter policy:
- Any applicable health, exit, entry taxes, visas, customs requirements and other legal and statutory formalities must be complied with by the passengers. BAR Aviation Ltd will not be liable.
- This contract will become null and void should a conflict arise in the intended charter destinations.
- BAR Aviation is not responsible for any direct or consequential costs resulting from any delays, diversion or cancellation of its services due to force majeure. (Adverse Weather, Earthquakes, Volcanic Eruptions and other Natural disasters).
- “Payload” is the maximum weight in kg available for the pax plus all bags, equipment and cargo.
Cancellation:
- Less than 7 days before departure 25% of the full charter rate
- Less than 48 hours before departure 50% of the full charter rate
- Less than 24 hours before departure 75% of the full charter rate
- Clients no show 75% of the full charter rate.
