BAR Aviation Uganda Supports the West Nile Open Golf Tournament 2023
BAR Aviation Uganda recognizes the significance of sports activities to individuals and the nation as a whole. BAR was one of the sponsors of the “West Nile Open Golf Tournament 2023,”which took place in June in Arua, located in the West Nile region of Uganda.
The annual open club competition brought together participants from various clubs, including Tooro Golf Club, Garuga Golf Club Kihihi, Mbarara Golf Club, Kabale Golf Club, Kilembe mines Golf Club, Entebbe Golf Club, Uganda Golf Club, Kinyara Golf Club, Lira Golf Club Mbale golf club Tororo golf club Jinja golf club Metha golf club Lugazi Namulonge golf club and West Nile Golf Club who hosted it. This event is traditionally attended by over 200 top-notch Ugandan and international golfers who engage in competitions for both amateur gross players’ and professional golfers. Additionally there were other programs such as environmental conservation and nature protection initiatives; community empowerment awareness creation efforts; social networking through sport amongst others.
We sponsored the “Halfway House”which allowed us to make a local impact in Arua. BAR Aviation has the local community in mind and at heart. As we not only fly passengers three times a week, we care about the growth of the economy in the area.
Distinguished guests attend this occasion including His Worship Fabrice Rulinda – Mayor of Entebbe City who served as Chief Guest alongside His Worship Muzaid Khemis – Mayor Arua City Central Division, Mr Angudubo Emmanuel representing City Clerk Arua City Mr Joe Aritua Chairman Board Of Trustees West Nile Cub amongst others.
Club Chairpersons Dr Joseph Oloro (Mbarara GC) Mr Joseph Nkurunziza (Jinja GC) Mr Karim Karia (Tororo GC)and Mr Lino Anguzu (West Nile GC), actively participated in all events while also present were top-level executives like Captain Okudi Koseph (Mbale GC); Bernard Baguma (Tooro CC); Ashraf Sekajja (Mbarara CC); Dr Fred Magala(Jinja GC); Alli Karma (Kabale GCC ) & Eng Omia Mudasir Obiga (WestNileGC). Their unwavering commitment ensured that this event was a success!
